Thermocouple Cable Answers
Q Can I purchase in specific lengths?
A Standard length is 100 metres, but other lengths can be specified, both shorter and longer.
Send you enquiry and let us help you choose the right cable.
Q There are several different types of extension cable construction; is the choice important?
A Yes; some are waterproof, some mechanically stronger, some suitable for high or low temperature

Q You include PFA in the PTFE insulation list - what is the difference?
A PFA insulation is extruded and easier to strip - PTFE is wrapped with better waterproofing qualities.
Q Are all cables available from stock?
A Yes, normally those given in the current price list.
Q Can I still purchase the old BS/ASTM colour code and why has everything gone over to IEC?
A Labfacility can supply some products to the "old" obsolete BS colour but the current IEC standard is internationally recognised.
Q Can you offer thermocouple cable within 48 hours?
A Yes, a wide range is available from stock, many types can be supplied in large quantity.
Q I use many thermocouples in testing and experiments, can I make my own thermocouple junctions?
A Yes, Labfacility can supply a benchtop welder and fine thermocouple wires - it is easy and inexpensive to make unsheathed thermocouples.

Q Why do you have specific cable for resistance thermometer connection?
A They are low resistance and conform to the international red and white colour code.
